The $95 Billion Welfare-Warfare Scam
$8.1 billion for Indo-Pacific aid (about $25 per person in the US)
$26.4 billion for Israel (about $81 per person in the US)
$60.8 billion for Ukraine (about $190 per person in the US).
Thanks to speaker Mike Johnson’s betrayal of the people (whose interests he swore to represent), the burden on taxpayers is already unsustainable. Last year the yearly budget deficit was $1.70 trillion.
That is just the deficit for one year.
The accumulated debt is another matter. As of March 2023, the US debt is increasing by about $1 trillion every 100 days (about $3,100 debt per person every 100 days). The total debt is currently more than $34 trillion (about $100,000 debt per person in the US). It will reach another $19 trillion by 2033 (an additional $58,000 debt per person in the US).
By 2045, projections are that the national debt will be $140 trillion (about $430,000 debt per person in the US), with interest payments alone of $10 trillion per year (about $31,000 per person in the US).
Of course, the economy will collapse well before then.
So, how does speaker Johnson justify this latest unconstitutional spending spree? Listen to his own lying words:
"We’re going to stand for freedom (sic) and make sure that Putin doesn’t march through Europe… we’re the greatest Nation on the planet, and we have to act like it.”
This is a critical time right now, a critical time on the world stage. I can make a selfish decision and do something that’s different but I’m doing here what I believe to be the right thing. “I think providing lethal aid to Ukraine right now is critically important. I really do. I really do believe the intel and the briefings that we’ve gotten.
I believe Xi, Vladimir Putin and Iran really are an axis of evil. I think they’re in coordination on it. “So, I think that Vladimir Putin would continue to march through Europe if he were allowed. I think he might go to the Balkans next. I think he might have a showdown with Poland or one of our NATO allies.
To put it bluntly, I would rather send bullets to Ukraine than American boys. My son is going to begin in the Naval Academy this fall. This is a live-fire exercise for me as it is so many American families. This is not a game; this is not a joke.
No, speaker Johnson, you sell-out mongrel, this is just more unconstitutional theft of the taxpayers to feed the Military Industrial Complex. Anyone who objects, such as representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, is labeled an idiot and Putin puppet. As always, when they cannot dispute the facts, they resort to ad hominem attacks. Incidentally, Trump has endorsed Johnson and chided MJT for seeking his removal as speaker.
Conclusion: This fiscal insanity is sold to American storks based on imaginary fears that China, Russia, and Iran are physical threats to a nuclear-armed United States and its non-existent “freedom and democracy.”
To the extent they are economic threats to our corporate-fascist government, it is the treasonous policies of the United States that created these threats. Bankrupting the country is the real threat and it is by design.
